Most of the boats are gone from Baltic Wharf, this weeks match was the first chance to get back there. Thursdays evening match was windy with clear water and the bream fed.
Top rod was Dave Shore who caught 19lb 8oz of skimmers and one bream, caught on maggots and groundbait. 2nd was Pete Sivell with a similar catch weighing 14lb 4oz, Petes brother, Merv, was third with 12lb 10oz of skimmers and roach. 4th was Dave Clutterbuck with 9lb 9oz of roach and dace on caster and hemp. 5th Adam Caswell with 2 bream on a groundbait feeder for 7lb 5oz, followed by Rob Garland with 7lb 2oz.
This is the best set of weights for a few weeks, its nice to see the docks fishing so well. During the week 8 year old Connor Ball went fishing at Baltic Wharf, with his grandad, and caught a 3lb bream, 4 skimmers and 23 roach for approx 12lb.
So if you want some free fishing, give Baltic Wharf a go.
