Maver
Maver UK was launched in 1994 from it's premises in Redditch. Maver UK is owned by Maver Italy who were set up in 1911, Maver have been at the forefront of modern pole manufacture and their products are sold all over the world. Their are very few European companies who manufacture poles and Maver lead the way, they make the most most expensive pole in the world, the Super Lithium 801 that sells for over £8,000, this pole has set the standard in modern pole design that all other manufacturers have tried to copy. Maver's continued quest for improvement means that they are always trying out new materials and ideas in an effort to produce the ultimate competition pole.
Mavers current range of flagship poles is the Signature Pro range which has a price point and large spares package to suit everyone. The Signature range of rods, seat boxes and luggage are made to the highest standards, something that any top match angler would be proud to own.
Back in 2011 Maver launched the Maver Match This competition where the winner picks up a staggering £70,000, this figure could grow to £100,000 as the popularity of the competition increases. This competition is based on the same format as the highly successful FishOmania series, but with a bigger prize money than FishO the Maver match this is gradually taking over as the number one competition for Match Anglers in the UK. This format has been so successful that this formula is slowly spreading across Europe and there are now European qualifiers for these finals.
The Final for this event is currently held at Maver Hayfield Lakes, Doncaster where last years winner Rob Wootton picked up £70,000. Qualifiers for the final are fished all around the country where the winner from each round gets to fish the final and the top 3 from each round qualify for the British Pole Championhips which is another high profile event.
